History
ALBA Internet Solutions was formed in Brisbane,
Queensland in 1996 by Angus Thomson to conduct web development.
It was felt that small and medium sized businesses were being
priced out of the market, creating a barrier to their obtaining
a web site and taking their businesses to the world.
Philosophy
We believe everyone should be able to afford
to put their business on the internet. With this objective
in mind we created the $99 web page. A flat rate for the design
of web pages. This allows you to budget in advance for your
site and to either calcualte the price of your site or to
have a site built that will fit your budget.
We also endeavour to make the experience of getting a web
site as simple and convenient as possible. We will only talk
in plain english to you so there's no confusing techno-babble
or gibberish
Growth
As a result of setting up clients with web
hosting and registration of domain names, we felt that there
had to be a cheaper way of providing them. This created a
desire to try and provide these services at a lower price
while still maintaining a high level of customer service and
satisfaction. The driving philosophy behind ALBA Internet
Solutions
This resulted first in the birth of ALBA
Hosts, then ALBA
Domains, a discount domain registration service.
We now feel we can offer a complete package of services for
any business or individual who wishes to make themselves known
on the net and for those who wish to onsell to others.
This latter part is what governed our pricing policy. We
aim to provide those who wish to onsell our services with
prices at which they can give themselves a decent mark up
while still being able to undercut the "majors"
and offer their clients a saving.
We now offer a generous Affiliate Programme and a dedicated
site for those wishing to resell our plans through our Multiple
Domain Hosting plans and then through Branded
Reseller Plans with your own name servers.
While we feel our prices alone offer the best value for money
in any currency we proudly believe that the level of support
provided to our clients can also be rated with the best. But
